try plugging the port into the phone upsidedown. yes, it sounds funny but i had the larger version of this and it took me a while to finally figure it out. Btw,what do you guys think of the phone? I’m thinking of purchasing one but the mixed reviews are pulling me both ways…
when making or receiving a call the other person can not hear me but i can here them fine. but with ear phones pulled in it works fine. any ideas of what the problem might be?

i recentli got this phone. I have a mac andi dont think its ver compatible with either mac or windows. The solution to the problem is BLUETOOTH. bluetoothing music is the onli wai to do it. time consuming but meh, tell me if u cum up with anthing better.

I just got my phone today. Sucks because I can’t hear the other person very well, and they certainly can’t hear me. I don’t understand why. Is there some way this can be fixed?

The way I put music on the phone is simple. It needs some work unfortunately. That’s why I put a max. amount on it at the same time. I start by removing the micro SD. Then I put it in a Micro SD/transflash adapter and put that in a special usb stick wich I connect with my computer. From then on it works like a normal usb stick. After putting all my stuff in the right folders, I reconnect from my PC and put the SD back in the phone. Works alot faster than Bluetooth for big data transfers. After that you can always add a couple of new songs with bluetooth. Also I find the max. volume when I play music is not good enough since I don’t want the phone behind my ear to listen to it.
The big problem for me is video. I’ts supposed to support AVI/MP4/GP3(this one I haven’t tried yet) but the first 2 formats are not getting recognised when I try to play them.
I bougth this phone mainly for it’s multimedia and big storage capacities and not as much as a phone. My simple SE R300 does the simple phone stuff a lot better and easier.

Im using this phone allready half of year.
you can draw on the screen but it dont recognize.
You can not put anny applications on it.
You can not make any shortcuts on it (like icons and make more slide mages)
You can not do handwriting beciuose there is no funkction
You can not use wap normal becouose inside this phone there are about 125 kb of free space and in can not put data from browser to the memory card
Email works somehow.
But you can listen with it mp3, play videos, wach photos, make calls and write sms by clicking the keys on screen.
It is a smallest phone with some shity soft but its the cheepest phone so dont want from it lots of magic.
I bought this phone from eBay .. It finally arrived yesterday.
I was so excited about it, it’s gorgeous but it doesn’t work! I try to plug it into my laptop via the USB cable but it doesn’t recognize the software it says ‘port closed’ or something like that.
Grrr I’m starting to get really annoyed with it and another thing, it says its 8GB but when I try to transfer music across it says ‘not enough memory’ ??!!!
One last thing … does anyone else find it hard to text with the little stick ? is there a way to change the keypad?

hey i just bought the Cect ka08…AKA Mini Iphone!! it was kind of confusing at first and i thought i couldnt put music on it but the trick is when you plug in the usb cord instead of selecting the “COM port” you select the mass storage and there should be a window that pops up on the monitor that says auto play. next select “open folder to veiw files.” this should bring you to another window where you can select the “my music folder”. from there simply drag the songs from your usual downloading source into the “my music” folder and they will automatically load onto your phone. the manual that comes with this phone is not good at all and you basically have to play with the phone to learn about its operating. its very time consuming but once you figure things out i belive this phone is a pretty good selection

i just bought the smallest version, the AK09, its’ got the same firmware as the rest of these.
i haven’t been able to install software or anything on it.
Music wa transferred easily via micro SD card.
texting is horrible because the keys are sooooo small.
menu navigation sucks and like said previously here, there is no way to change shortcuts, and no way to enable handwriting recognition, and the reception sucks compared to all other phones i’ve had with the same service provider.

okay the trick with this phone is you can try and fiddle with it as much as you want but just remember how much you payed for it it’s definatley not a phone because you can hardly here the other person and has this webcam function whivh doesnt work the phone is not worth it we should prevent other people from wasting their money on rhis chinese garbage consumer products that real us in with the cheap prices but then you pay for garbage
